Science Selangor, new life.

My life changes a lot since studying in Science Selangor Secondary School. I learn new things everyday, what's good and what's bad.  

We only have a week left for school and then, holidaaaaaaaay.

Surprisingly, I survived for almost a year in a boarding school which I hate at first. Yes, I admit. I hated boarding school. When I got the offer to SMSS, I wanted to reject it. But then families asked me to accept the offer. They said try and my uncle keep on saying "Opportunity only comes once". And I accepted the offer. 

Here starts the new life of Syarah Azlan.

First day of the orientation week which is on the 16th of February 2011, Wednesday. I was placed in C3.7 (dorm) and class 1 Usaha. I felt normal, not scared nor nervous. Mama went home and left me at school at about 6.30pm. I waved goodbye like nothing's gonna happen. But during Maghrib, I felt lonely and started to feel homesick. I cried in the Surau and my batch mates started to persuade me. I met new friends and seniors. The funny thing is, during the first month of school. I keep calling and calling Mama while crying and keep saying "Ma, I wanna go home." Until one day, I went to meet the counselor and told her my problems. Mama and Papa came and gave the counselor a letter to move from that school. She said I need to do some counseling in 3 weeks and I was like "Lamanyaaaaa". I did the counseling twice and there's one more left but suddenly I felt like canceling my intention to move. I felt excited and happy after the one week holiday of Chinese New Year. And I suited myself there. 

Sports. Well, as usual, I play netball. But I'm not in the school team yet. Maybe next year, insyaAllah. And the sport I'm really active at since kindergarten. I call it 'RUN'. Yes, running is my thing. Well, people call me sprinter. Pfsh. Alaaa, short metres je. My stamina is not strong okay? Haha, okay. My achievements in sports are Larian Jalan Raya, top 15. During the sports day, I got 2 golds for 200m and 4x400m and a silver for 4x100m. Not that much la. Okay, done with sports.

Music, okay. Music is my passion. I love music but I'm not in the Wind Orchestra group. It's not that I don't want to be a part from The Renaissance. I want to but I'm just scared that I couldn't divide my time to study and to practice. However, I still support the The Renaissance. Instead of the orchestra, we have our Gamelan team. I applied for it, but I'm not sure that I'm selected or not. Hoping...

There's actually many more about Science Selangor. But I'm lack of ideas to write. So, I shall stop here. It's very enjoyable to be a junior and a form one student. I survived form one and going to be a form two student in 2012. I love my seniors, batch mates and I love my school. I really enjoy studying in SMSS and I'm proud to be a Science Selangor student.

p/s ; I met a very very very very very kind, loving and caring senior. I call her Mokk ;)
